Mother in Law

I was walking through my mother in law's garden the other day... It's so gorgeous and she works so hard at it just to get the best out of every flower every season. It's funny though because she cultivates the earth and each flower like it was her own child... She is the same way with my soon to be husband and his sister... and all the family. She is such an awesome woman... not only because she is talented and has so many great ideas but also because she is the glue that holds her family together. I admire her and I wish to be someday like her in many ways...

She took the time to get to know me and understand how my life has been so little until their family adopted me and invited me into it. Unconditionally! Anyone but her, even my own mother, would have said no you are evil and have too much history. She didn't do that. She made me part of the family without question. While my own mother holds me at arms length, she holds me close and helps to cultivate the beautiful woman that she knows I am.

So this is my happy story about my awesome mother in law. She is everything that a mother is supposed to be and then some...
